Washington DC Trip - 7th and 8th Grades >> |
September 20, 2006
Last year Mr. Ottinger lead 50+ kids on a whirl wind
Washington DC tour. Our then 7th grader went on it. We
were thrilled with what she learned and with how happy
she was when she came home.
Our hats off to Mr. Ottinger for going above and beyond
the usual monument and museum stops. The kids took part
in the changing of the wreath at the tomb of the Unknown
Soldier, and even toured the White House.
By the end of the trip, the students had an extraordinary
learning experience that helped them understand their
roles as US citizens. The teachers keep up a running
commentary and amazingly enough ... Read
