WHY IM RUNNING
I attended public schools in Oklahoma from kindergarten through
law school. There were a large number of people -- teachers, coaches
and administrators -- that assisted me throughout my time in school,
and I believe that serving on the School Board would be a good opportunity
for me to give back to a system that I benefited a great deal from.
I have attended many of the School Board meetings over the past
two years. During that time, it has become clear that the biggest
issue that the school district faces is how to maintain the high
quality educational and extracurricular opportunities that the Deer
Creek schools have traditionally provided to its students, while
dealing with the rapid growth in enrollment that the school district
is experiencing. I want to help ensure that, even as our enrollment
increases, our academic, athletic, fine arts and other programs
remain among the very best in the state.
