Things that make you go Hmm…

February 22, 2007

Recently a Deer Creek patron sent a letter to the board in regards to a school administrator. Two weeks later a female employee of the school district showed up at there house at 8:10 am to verify residency. Apparently somebody accused the family of not living in the district.

Last year DHS was called in regards to a family. When DHS investigated the situation they apologized to the family in question. Apparently there was no evidence to support the claim.

Isn't it ironic that in response to an reported incident about a school official, School Board President Greg Cwayna made the statements:

  • “Why would we want to ruin the reputation of an
individual that has a stellar reputation.”

  • “We don’t investigate anonymous accusations.”

  •
Too bad the school doesn’t follow the same procedures when the situation involves patrons.

For the record, the only common thread between the two incidences is that both families have children going to Prairie Vale Elementary.
