Note to the Superintendent
Your remark that these types of websites pop up when a parent
is upset such as with a sports coach just highlights your
ignorance of the purpose of this website and my intentions.
I would not like to trivialize a major issue with-in the school
district by comparing it to whether my son or daughter participated
in a sporting event. The point and only point of this website
is to help disseminate both positive and negative information
to the patrons of Deer Creek Schools and raise their awareness
of major issues in the school district.
It has become very obvious, very quickly that the laptop
issue at Prairie Vale is more a symptom of a larger problem,
not what some deemed "Rookie Mistakes" made
by you and other school officials. Lets examine some
other issues:
- Who is responsible for seeing that students have textbooks
to start the school year?
- Who approved the painting of a mural when there are not
enough funds to fully supply Prairie Vale?
- Who approved hanging blinds in an office when there were
not enough funds to fully supply Prairie Vale?
- Who told a school official not to participate in a resolution
meeting and then directed the blame towards that school
official?
- Who hired their daughter to fill a teaching spot without
posting the open position?
- Who has told so many different stories about the laptop
project that they probably dont remember the truth
anymore?
The answer to all the above questions is you. Should
I accept these actions as "Rookie Mistakes"
or does the term Lack of Institutional Control
seem to fit better? I hope for all the students sake
you dont have a Sophomore Slump next year. One would
have to ask where is the School Board when all this is going
on?
I had made promises that the information shared on this website
would be positive and would work towards providing solutions.
Sometimes when addressing the truth there is no way of putting
a positive spin on the facts.
