Parent Post:
Did anyone out there know that the HS school was let out early today(yesterday)? I guess it's not a big deal if your kids are let out at the drive, but mine had to walk a half mile in the snow, with a locker load of books. If I had known, I could have met her at the stop to pick her up.

We received an email at 1:50pm saying they were letting the kids out early. C’mon lady have your email forwarded to your cell phone and you won’t have these problems. Or how ‘bout this go to the district website. What no message there. Go to the high school website. Wait it’s down. Oh my, we guess technology is not all that it is cracked up to be. Remember the good ole days of a calling tree. (Sorry couldn’t resist the sarcastic remarks about technology.)
For the record here is a copy of the email we received.
“This was the e-mail that was sent out to teachers concerning letting school out early.
We are going to let school out early today. I am shortening 6th and 7th hour and we will let out at 2:15pm.
_6th hour: 1:05pm to 1:40pm
7th hour: 1:45pm to 2:15pm
We will ring the bells manually so PLEASE do not release them until the bell rings.
Please announce to your classes that anyone riding the bus needs to be on it quickly. All athletic events are cancelled for tonight. Coaches will let their players know during 7th hour if they will practice after school.
The reason for letting out early is to make sure that the busses have enough time to drop off the HS and MS students and be able to pick up the elementary students on time. We did not let out earlier when the heaters were off because we would have had elementary kids being sent home to cold houses with no electricity. We hope this does not cause any inconvenience to anyone. Thank you. “
